Arsenal Offer Oxlade-Chamberlain New Four-Year Deal
Arsenal have reportedly offered Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a new four-year deal, worth £125,000-per-week, with the club keen to keep hold of the Englishman.
According to the Daily Star , the Gunners are confident the Ox will sign the new and improved contract offer, as he is now in the final year of his current deal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has reportedly attracted interest from Chelsea, with Antonio Conte ready to offer him a place in the starting line-up at right wing-back .
However, Wenger has repeatedly insisted his desire to keep hold of the versatile 24-year-old , and sees him as a key part of Arsenal’s future.
The report claims the Ox has been tempted by the interest from Chelsea, although the expectation is that he will sign on, after featuring regularly in Wenger’s new formation.
However, the Daily Star are less confident about the futures of Alexis Sanchez and defender Shkodran Mustafi.
They feel that Manchester City remain hopeful of landing Sanchez in a deal worth £60 million and feel Arsenal would sell Mustafi to Inter Milan if the Serie A side offer £35m for the Germany international.
With time starting to run out in the transfer market, Arsenal certainly look as though they will be busy as they look to finalise their squad.
The club still need to offload several players from a bloated squad while interest in Sanchez, Mustafi and Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to continue for now.
